Biography

Kristina Vaculová was born in 1984.


She studied the flute at the Brno Conservatory with Prof. Božena Růžičková and Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Art under the tuition of Prof. Václav Kunt.
In the years 2009 - 2010 she also studied at the Ferenz Liszt Academy in Budapest, in the class of Prof. Zoltán Gyöngyössy.

Currently continuing her Ph.D. studies again in Janáček Academy Brno.

 

She participated in numerous  master courses, organized by Hansgeorg Schmeisser and Davide Formissano in Fiss, Václav Kunt in Brno, Felix Renngli in Semmering, János Bálint in Sárospatak.

 

She has been participated in many national and international competitions, for example she won second prize at the national conservatory competition in Teplice 2000, first prize at the international competition Concertino Praga 2001, first prize at international competition Anglo Czechoslovakia Trust in London  (category Woodwinds) 2005, first prize at the national flute competition „ In bona Fidae“ in Hlučín 2007, second prize at the international flute competition „ Friedrich Kuhlau“ in Uelzen in Germany 2009 (category solo flute) and in the year 2011 she won first prize at the same competition in the category trio flutes.

 

She gives concerts with Czech symphony and chambers orchestras and with piano too.

Since 2012 she is a member of the Brno Philharmonic Orchestra.
